Interesting start but drops off hard when it devolves to the general cliches. The MC can't so much as sneeze without offending 7 young masters/mistresses, elders, sect leaders, etc...Another big troupe in this novel that annoys me is that they constantly talk about how big the divide is between cultivation realms but then blatantly ignore all that when the MC is involved. This is even the case when referring to other geniuses who are also able to fight above their realms. All in all the troupe means that the MC is always as powerful as the author wants/ needs him to be so there is no suspense in later fights as you know the MC will win despite how talented/ powerful the enemy is.Overall, I'd say it's 4/5 at the beginning (though there is still plot armour) then 1/5 later on when it becomes just another junk food novel.
It was an interesting start and very original, it was dark and gritty at the start and the, "spoiler", devils were a mystery. It all changed very fast to become a regular xianxia fast food novel. The devils that were depicted as evil and what not in the begining have their mystery taken away and become human with tails. Such a shame.
Can someone tell me how the cultivation ranks work in this and how many chapters it takes the MC to advance through each stage? Thanks.

Finished 5 chapter already saved by polt armor and started a path of cultivation that is know as impossible. I wish the polt armor was not so obvious or came in a little late. Yeah not my cup of tea.
Bro the plot armor isn't that intense tbh, it wears off.I recommend that you give it a try. It's a really good novel, not like the average ones.
