The car drove slowly through the abandoned roadways where the ruined houses lined up perfectly on both sides.

Skyy curiously peered outside. 'I didn't know earth was so run down. Why did they make it seem like it was a lush green world with so many resources? This place is obviously abandoned and had nothing worth looking around.'

He curiously gazed ahead at the driver's seat. The young man who saved him was about six feet tall making his head stand out from his seat. his short hair was tussled up, untamed. his face was three shades darker than his but he still had that clean feeling.

as he was looking at him, the man gazed back at him.

Their eyes met.

Skyy curiously peered at his face.

the man looked away, clearing his throat.

To be honest, Skyy had met many PWs and seen and read a lot of brochures about ability users but none were as handsome as this man. he did not look as pale as the ones in the brochures, but he had that manly, trustworthy feel to him.

Just as he thought of this, the man yawned loudly.

"Come on, let me take over," Zara nudged him.

"Nah, I don't trust your driving skills," he pushed his sister's intrusive hands away.

Skyy watched them both intently. 'This is how siblings talk to each other huh… I guess me and Kyle have been behaving like siblings for a while then.' He smiled just at the thought of that. I'm alive and well. Then Kyle must also be alive. Kaden too. We all will happily run off to Amazon and live a happy life,'

He moved to the middle seat and poked his head to the front. "Is Amazon Forest far from here?"

The guy named Chen looked back at him with mirth written on his face. "it's very close~" he whispered with a grin.

"Really? Then Kaden must have taken Kyle there. I heard that place is a safe hideout. you guys can also come along with me. You don't have to run all the time," he cast a comforting gaze at the last surviving woman.

Zara held back a chuckle and nodded. "of course, let's go to amazon and live like those tribe people."

"People actually live there still?"

"But it's likely they would have gone extinct" Zara muttered under her breath. "We can wear leaf clothes and dance around campfires."

Skyy tilted his head. "Leaf clothes do not seem like a good idea. It can't keep us insulated in cold temperatures."

Zara pinched his cheeks softly. "Gosh you're so cute. You know what? Why don't be mine. I'll make sure to keep you fed and keep you very safe,"

Skyy froze up.

"Zara! Stop that."

"Why not? He is cute and I'm eighteen. I can have a boyfriend. How can I resist such a cutie pie." She pinched his cheeks again.

Chen pushed her hand away. "Stop fiddling with him," then glared back at the young man. "You! go back."

Skyy moved back with a pout. "I don't want to be your partner. You are the last woman and you're too precious. I'm pretty sure I'm not even a complete man." he touched his stomach with a sigh.

Skyy bit his lips looking at the pair fighting their hearts out. he gently touched the woman's arm. "Don't fight. I'm not going to stay with you."

"Why not? Don't listen to this asshole. I'm very genuine in my offer. You can stay with me however long you want. I even have a separate room for you," she cast a beautiful smile at him.

Skyy smiled and shook his head. "I'll head to the Amazon with my friends. I'll be safe. Kaden is strong."

This made the two silent.

Soon the sun sunk to the horizon.

the car slowed down to a stop in a wasteland.

"Well stay here for the night and we are heading back tomorrow."

Skyy who just got out of the car froze up in shock. "You said you would help me search for Kyle."

Chen looked his way with a sigh. "We can't waste time."

"Kyle could be in danger! That creature might even try to eta him! how can you say that… I... I'll go search for him myself." He dashed away.

But a warm hand gripped his arm tightly and pulled him onto a sturdy chest. "Stop being so troublesome. There is no one close by."

He waved his hand and a huge swarm of bees flew toward him out of nowhere.

Skyy clung to his shirt. "w-what…."

"I sent them out to search for your friend. They are nowhere to be found. Ask Zara. She can sense anyone within ten miles." he gestured to his sister.

Zara gazed his way and shook her head. "I didn't sense anyone, I'm sorry."

"t-they… they must be in Amazon. you said it was close!"

Chen sighed. He did not know how to tell this crazy fool that the Amazon was in another country altogether. "I'm sorry. We are going back."

Biting his trembling lips Skyy gazed at them. "I'll… I'll find them. Kyle is my only family. I can't leave him... I must find him," he turned around to leave.

"We can find them!" the woman shouted in a hurry.

Skyy gazed back at her with tears in his eyes. "You're lying."

"I'm not. you said you guys crashed, yeah? Your friends might have landed farther than you. ill contact the other bases and ask around if they have spotted anyone in your description. Can you tell me what your friend looks like,"

"Kyle has red hair! and he is tall as me. Kaden is taller than me standing about six feet. He is slim and very athletic. They both would be wearing outfits like mine," he held up his white shirt. "c-can you really find them?"

"I'll ask around," the girl pulled him to sit down on the campsite. "Here," she handed a weird-looking food. "Have a fruit roll up,"

Skyy silently looked into her eyes. "You swear?"

"I swear." She held his hand. "I'll find them for you,"

Skyy finally let out a dazzling smile. "Thank you."
